The east and south of Ukraine have always voted for closer ties to Russia or to be part of Russia.

The people of Ukraine should decide whether they want to be part of Russia or part of the New Ukraine created in 2014 after the US led violent Maidan coup and the unconstitutional ousting of President Yanukovich.

Fortunately, the nearest we have to a referendum of all the people (millions have fled Ukraine to Europe and Russia since 2014) is the Presidential election results of 2010 and the Parliamentary election results of 2012.

The pictures of these two election results clearly show that the Ukrainian people in the east and south of Ukraine overwhelmingly supported the Russian friendly candidate.

Ukraine could be divided between the yellow and the blue areas on the 2010 map (shown above) on the picture with the Dnieper River as a major part of the new border.

This other 2010 map (above) of the percentage of votes shows that 85%+ of the people in the Donbass voted for the Russian leaning candidate Yanukovich.

The picture below shows the 2012 Parliamentary voting map of Ukraine and the territory in blue that Russia could accept into the Federation in any peace talks after Putin has given those regions referendums (again) to join Russia.

This would restore equilibrium to the voting intentions of pre US led coup 2014 Ukraine.

Russia have always stated that their goal is to “demilitarize” and “denazify” Ukraine who should NOT join Nato.

These 3 goals need to be addressed by in any peace agreement.

Ukraine needs to accept their inevitable defeat on the battlefield.

Acceding now to Russia’s demands will save the lives of many thousands of their troops.

Borders are just lines on a map which move from side to side and up and down with history.

It is not fictitious borders which define a country but the people.

If 97% of those people want to belong to the country next door because they have been persecuted and killed by a new fascist regime created by a violent US led Maidan coup of 2014 then so be it.

Homes, family, farms and industry of millions of people cannot all move to the neighbouring, safe haven country of choice.

It is easier to move the lines on the map to accommodate the “will of the people”.

Laws and countries can be created by precedent.

Nato countries “invaded” The Balkans where new countries were created.

Balkan countries (Kosovo) had referendums and declarations (just like Crimea and Donbass) where new countries were created with the agreement of Nato countries.

Nato countries “invaded” Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya.

The UN is a tool of the US and Nato who bully other countries to agree to their sanctions and resolutions or bully them to disagree with the “will of the people” in countries which do not suit US foreign policy.

Russia was deliberately “provoked”, and their special military operation was totally “justified” and similar to what Nato countries have done in the recent past.

Those living in the new territories in east Ukraine (probably now by a margin of 99.9%) still want to be part of Russia.

Russia will “liberate” all those areas of Ukraine where the people would prefer to be part of Russia than controlled by the Ukrainian Banderites, neoNazis, paramilitaries and ultranationalists who seized control of the country with help from the US in 2014.

(Party of Regions was a Russian leaning political party with huge support in the east and south of Ukraine).

Russia is willing to negotiate and hold new referendums in these areas once again.

There were referendums in Crimea, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson.

All voted overwhelmingly to be part of Russia and NOT be ruled by the Ukrainian Banderites, neoNazis, paramilitaries and ultranationalists who seized control of their country.

Crimea referendum 2014 = 96% in favour of being part of Russia.

DPR referendum 2014 = 89.7% in favour of being part of Russia.

LPR referendum 2014 = 96.2%       “             “             “

Zaporozhye referendum 2022 = 98.2% in favour of being part of Russia.

Kherson referendum 2022 = 96.9% “             “             “

DPR referendum 2022 = 97.9%      “             “             “

LPR referendum 2022 = 97.8%       “             “             “

All referendums were monitored by "independent" Western observers who say they were free, fair and above board.

Since 2014 almost 4.8 million refugees have arrived in Russia from the territory of Ukraine and Donbass according to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. All are free to leave whenever they want.

If the south of Ukraine and the Donbass had new referendums the results would be very similar.

Western governments and their presstitutes in the media have a vested interest not to tell the truth.
